Oggi tocca al classico di Mory Kante "Yeke Yeke", ripreso in chiave minimal è suonatissimo da Hawtin. Ma ripreso anche dal DJ italiano Mattara, il quale oggi ha fatto uscire il singolo SEND THE MESSAGE, basato sullo'omonimo brano di Mory Kante. Io mi dico, ma si può vedere due canzoni che riprendono la stessa canzone, scusate il gioco di parole, ed escono nello stesso periodo? A voi qualche commento... Ciao! penne Posted May 16, 2008 Report Share Posted May 16, 2008 Seba, quella che "suona" Hawtin è una sorta di "retouch", qualche effetto qua e là, qualche variazione sul tema. Che, come hai correttamente evidenziato tu, ha 10 anni (secondo me qualcuno in più, ma cambia di poco il discorso). Mattara non è nuovo a "tempismi" del genere (ricordo la cover di Gasolina ad opera di Baby (!!!) galagius Posted May 19, 2008 Report Share Posted May 19, 2008 Riguardo al tempismo di Mattara ricordo "Happy Together" rifacimento della già colonna sonora della vodafone. Comunque, non è la prima volta che due hanno la stessa idea sul brano da rifare. Mi vengono così, su due piedi, in mente Junior Jack e Dave Armstrong o, più recente, Stone Fox Chase ripresa da Kut & Swel e dagli House Of Glass. I suoni usati dal Dj Ross per quella produzione (e per Floating In Love) mi facevano impazzire (dovrei avere anche il singolo da qualche parte)- A supporto di quanto detto, nel vecchio 3d in cui si chiedeva un disco per ogni anno nominai Floating In Love come mio disco dell anno 2004 e in un altro 3d in cui si chiedeva la miglior produzione del Dj Ross, stessa preferenza.
